We had gone 2 weeks without mail here. Mailman was sick and we had a couple big storms. When I opened the mail box and saw this, it totally made up for those missing mail days!!! This isn't really anything too exciting, but when you are waiting and waiting and waiting for the day of your trip to get here, this is super super exciting! 16 days to go until we leave. My kids think we have 20 days he he....

My first vlog! What's in our suitcase: Kids Edition!

So this is a vlog! I will insert the videos below. My voice. I sound like a child! It did help me though when I worked at a call center. People would rarely get angry with me ha ha. In the video where I am sharing what I have in my son's suitcase, youtube changes my voice in the beginning and I sound really messed up! So WEIRD! Has this happened to anyone else?? Hope these help someone or amuse you if you are bored... enjoy...laugh or do whatever!

These two kids are pretty special! Each very different from each other, but the perfect combination! There is nothing in my life that God has give me that I am more grateful for then my family!

Brooklyn, the sensitive one. An old soul. Emotional like her mommy. So so kind. Loving. Likes big hugs. Sweet little smile that could make me give in to almost anything. Beautiful. A beautiful heart. Loves the Lord. Would do anything for anyone. Is a giver. Shy. Creative. A blessing!

Landon, hyper. Big attitude, huge smile. Emotional. Wise beyond his years. Big imagination. Rough, tough and all boy. Sweet. Caring. Stubborn. A 4 year old preacher. Handsome. Outgoing. Loving. Loves to cuddle. Thoughtful. Creative. A blessing!

Hey people and friends,

Why I didn't do this post first, I don't know! I am hoping this blog reaches people outside of my circle of friends, so just in case it does, I would like to properly introduce myself to you all! :) (why is it so hard to think of something to write about yourself?)

I'm a 28 year old mom of two extraordinary kiddos! Was married young(18) to a wonderful man. He was my first love and it has stuck! We will talk more about him later. I am a self taught photographer who ALWAYS has a camera in her hands. So run if you see me and don't want your picture taken. I have over 30,000 photos on my external hard drive. That is not a lie my friends! I am a Christian. I teach Sunday School and I am a children's choir director to the most amazing group of kids you will ever meet, The Songbirds!! I am sweet but can be sassy! I am a plus sized girl! Have been all my life. It has been a struggle. Working on that at the moment! Hitting up that treadmill. I am a super awkward person! Awkward speaker, dancer, you name it! I LOVE Taylor Swift. Seen her live 7 times. No shame! Here are some random questions and answers:

1. Are you named after anyone? I am named after Lindsay Wagner. My mom just liked her name at the time!

2. When was the last time you cried? hmmmm on the weekend. I broke my laptop!

3. Do you have kids? 2

4. If you were another person, would you be a friend of yourself? Yes I would! I like to get to know a person before judging them on the outside!

5. Do you use sarcasm a lot? YES!!!!

6. Will you ever bungee-jump? Heck no! Took me 26 years to get on an airplane!

7. What’s your favorite cereal? Not really a cereal person, but I guess it would be Honey & Oats?

8. What’s the first thing you notice about people? Smile

9. What is your eye colour? Brown.

10. Scary movie or happy endings? happy endings.

11. Favorite smells? rain, cookies baking, the beach

12. Summer or winter? Summer...get me out of this never ending Winter!!!

14. What’s the furthest you’ve ever been from home? Orlando, Florida

15. Do you have any special talents? I can sing

17. What are your hobbies? Photographer, writing, singing, dancing badly

18. Do you have any pets? A beautiful Havanese named Bella.

19. Favorite movie? too many faves! Something Borrowed at the moment I guess.

20. Do you have any siblings? Yes, one younger sister.

The countdown is on!!!

Today was a good day! Brooklyn had another snow day today! That is 4 snow days in the last week! Craziness! The morning started with some fighting. My kids have seen too much of each other this past week. Brooklyn hasn't been in school since last Tuesday because of storms and sickness. Just as I started to pull my hair out, I thought of an idea! We leave for Disney World in 26 days!! So I thought it would be fun to make countdowns for them to hang on their bedroom doors. I searched Pinterest for the perfect one. I found this: http://toysinthedryer.com/disney-countdown-ring/. A Disney chain countdown! How fun!!! Of course the kids thought so too :)

Something was missing!! Disney tunes. We cranked the stereo up with our Disney favorites. Brooklyn and Landon thought it would be fun if some friends joined us! They disappeared to their bedrooms to get them!!

Great! So we had an audience of cuddly friends!! Perfect!! So we got started. I don't think you need a step by step guide on how to make this. It is super super easy, but here are some pictures of the process!! Oh and just to add some surprise to our trip, I added a few extra days onto the countdown(bad mommy), so when they think they still have a couple days left(he he he), we are going to put them in the car and head to Disney! Although, they won't know where they are going because they still have "3 days" left on the countdown!! I'm so sneaky!! ;) HOW FUN!!

You get the idea? Good :) Kids are amused so easily! It is great. I love these little moments with them! I cherish them! I guess that is the main reason why I wanted to start blogging, and soon to be, vlogging, their lives. They grow so fast! I need to keep these moments! I want to remember every second!

I think it is adorable that they wanted their Disney pals to watch them make the countdowns. Please stay little!

All done!!! Success!!! The fighting has ended. Everyone is getting a long.....It was a good day!

No better day to start a blog!!

It's raining, no it's snowing, no it is freezing raining!!!! What a day! Our city has taken a beating this winter, but out of all the storms, I would say today we are having the worst one. Our beautiful tree in the front yard has 6 huge branches missing. Where are they? On the ground, covered in ice. Sad! I am just sitting here in the quiet with a cup of delicious chocolate tea waiting for the power to go out! Praying it won't! So, I decided to start a blog! About what you might ask? Anything really. Whatever is on my mind! That can be a lot of things! This is be mainly focused on family and our daily adventures. We are never home. Always on the go. This will surely be entertaining to some right? Perhaps! So come along on our journey through life! Will introduce my family in my next blog! For now, I will leave you with a few photos from the storm today!
